Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Wolfsburg are all reportedly interested in signing Napoli winger, Lorenzo Insigne.

The 25-year-old, who recently cried when he missed a penalty against Besiktas, has been linked with a move to Merseyside for a little while. However, now, Ilmessaggero has added even more teams to the list.

As Sport Witness points out, the Italian is ‘only’ on just under £80,000 a week; a fee which apparently Napoli are no longer willing to meet but could be coughed up easily by the Premier League teams linked.

This season, Insigne has only made four Serie A starts, 10 appearances. He has, however, provided five assists, which is brilliant considering his limited game time.

Last term, he scored 12 and assisted 10 in 37. Not bad at all.

Are Arsenal actually interested?

It’s hard to say whether we’re genuinely interested or not considering all our wingers are currently playing well and there’s no real talk of anyone leaving.

Insigne does play on Joel Campbell’s favoured left-hand side so he could potentially be a replacement should we say goodbye to the Costa Rican who’s currently on loan with Sporting.

We’ll see.
