Reports emerged on Thursday that Mesut Ozil will not be called up for the next international break as Joachim Low endeavours to show that he is the anti-Chris Coleman.

The Welsh manager, who has already been critical of Arsenal over Aaron Ramsey’s injury, couldn’t wait to get him back into his squad despite the fact he has only just returned from a hamstring injury that kept him out from August.

Low, however, has some common sense.

Or perhaps he isn’t quite as dependent on Ozil as Coleman is on Ramsey.

The tweet above says, “# Özil will be completely spared in the upcoming international match.

“T. # Müller plays only against San Marino. Antonio # Rüdiger returns [Kicker]”

Germany are due to play San Marino on Friday, 11 November. After that, they face Italy in a friendly on 15 November.

Mesut, meanwhile, will be assisting himself to some much needed rest if the above report is true.
