Reports in Italy claim that AC Milan are interested in signing Jack Wilshere on a permanent basis after a number of clubs in Italy tried to land him on loan in the summer.

Jack had the chance to join Roma for the season but opted for Bournemouth, a decision that surprised many but which Wilshere said was down to a conversation he had with Eddie Howe. Now, it seems like AC Milan might want to try their hand in the summer and are likely to face competition from clubs Jack already had talks with.

With Jack speaking recently and saying that he will leave Arsenal if he has to, a future at Arsenal is not guaranteed. He told reporters, “I love Arsenal and I can still see myself playing there but, as well, who knows what the future holds.

“I have got a year left when I go back there. I have improved as a player and Arsenal if want me back and then we will see where we go from there.

“But if there comes a time when I have to leave, then I have to leave. If I go back and I’m still not playing then I will have to think about things.”

Other clubs linked with a loan move over the summer included Besiktas, Valencia, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Juventus, Benfica and Sporting CP so there would certainly be a queue for his signature should he decide to leave.

There are very few details in the report from Italy about AC Milan’s interest, but it would be hard for Jack to ignore some of the clubs bound to be interested, especially if he can’t be guaranteed a starting role in the Arsenal side next year.

Then again, should Wenger leave at the end of the season, all bets are off as to what could happen with just about every player.
