Ian Wright has somewhat jokingly suggested that if Arsenal buy Sergio Aguero from Manchester City, we’ll win the Premier League; ‘it’s as simple as that’.

The BT Sport pundit made his feelings on the recent rumours linking the Argentine with a move to north London very clear, claiming that if Pep Guardiola continues to ‘mess him around’, we should come in and buy him.

I’m pretty sure that 99% of Gooners all want this to happen. Aguero is absolutely world class and if he was brought into our current squad, it stands to reason that we would have the best attack in the Premier League.

It’s an interesting story because I feel as if it’s come completely from nothing.

The 28-year-old was benched during City’s Champions League clash with Barcelona, which Pep claimed was for tactical reasons.

Since then, Aguero’s gone on to get full games against Southampton and West Brom in the League. He even scored a brace against the Baggies during City’s 4-0 win at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

With this in mind, is Pep really messing him around? Or is this something the media has just given legs?

The manager seems intent on keeping him and since it’s only really been the one game in which Aguero was dropped, I don’t see the player wanting to jump ship too soon.

Of course, I could be wrong.
