The final Women’s Euro 2017 line-up is now complete.

Portugal beat Romania on the away goal rule (0-0),(1-1 aet), in the play-offs to secure the remaining place in the Euro line-up.

The final draw will take place 8 November at 4.30pm at Rotterdam’s Luxor theatre.

The pots for the draw are as follows:

  • Pot 1: Netherlands (hosts, in Group A), Germany (holders), France, England
  • Pot 2: Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland
  • Pot 3: Italy, Iceland, Scotland, Denmark
  • Pot 4: Austria, Belgium, Russia, Portugal

England are in pot 1 thanks to Sweden’s surprise defeat on the final day to Denmark, which sees the Swedes drop two places in the national ranking and into pot 2.

This is the first time the Euros will have 16 teams as the previous ones only had 12. Switzerland, Scotland, Austria, Belgium and Portugal will make their first appearance at the tournament.

Arsenal Ladies should have a few players involved in the tournament next Summer:

Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Jordan Nobbs, Fara Williams, Danielle Carter and maybe Jemma Rose and Jodie Taylor could be in the squad for England.

Kim Little and Emma Mitchell should be involved with Scotland.

Sari Van Veenendaal, Danielle Van De Donk and Dominique Janssen should be involved with the hosts, the Netherlands.

Josephine Henning should also make it with Germany.

The departing duo of Marta Correredera and Vicky Losada should also be involved with Spain.

The venues for the tournament are as follows and are very easy to access and close to one another.

Breda: Stadium Rat Verlegh
Deventer: Stadium De Adelaarshorst
Doetinchem: Stadium De Vijverberg
Enschede: FC Twente Stadium
Rotterdam: Stadium Sparta-Het Kasteel
Tilburg: Stadium Koning Willem II
Utrecht: Stadium Galgenwaard

It will be interesting to see if England will be placed in an easy group or a Group of Death, for example, with Sweden, Scotland and Russia.
