Arsene Wenger admitted that his side got a bit lucky on Saturday against Swansea but also said that there was only one real winner on the pitch.

Arsenal made things an awfully lot harder for themselves than they needed to be and Jon Moss piled on just to help – sending off Granit Xhaka for a foul that was never, ever a red card.

Speaking to the media after the game, Wenger was asked about the chances Theo blew to grab his hattrick, but the boss wanted to focus on the positives of Theo scoring in the first place.

“Yes, he Theo] had the chances [to get a hattrick] but overall what I think what is good is he scored,” Wenger said.

“Mesut scored as well, we need goals from Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott, of course, so the positive thing is he scored two goals.”

Mesut is certainly weighing in with more goals this season and, in fact, his volley against the Swans was his third this season while the assist that created it was Alexis’ sixth of the season.

We have a front three who are all capable of scoring, assisting, linking and switching and pace.

How can you not get excited by that?
