Arsene Wenger has said that Aaron Ramsey is not quite up to full fitness after the Welshman made his return from a thigh problem against Sunderland, however the boss also hailed how hard he has been working to return.

Ramsey put in a great cameo performance after coming on as a second half sub in the 77th minute, creating two chances and getting an assist. His display paled in comparison to that of Olivier Giroud, however, who netted twice with his first two touches of the game.

“Olivier was absolutely brilliant,” Wenger told Arsenal Player.

“He’s such a great option to have on the bench and overall you could see in training already that he was sharp, this week he is back to sharpness.

“He’s worked very hard, like Aaron. Aaron is still a bit behind but Olivier is there now.”

It’s likely that Ramsey will take a bit longer to recover having been out for longer than Giroud, who was suffering from an alleged toe injury.

With Ludogorets midweek, I expect Ramsey to get more minutes ahead of a possible return to the starting lineup against Spurs at the weekend.
