Arsene Wenger admitted that he will probably look send Krystian Bielik out on loan when the January window opens.

The 18-year-old arrived at Arsenal in January, 2015 from Legia Warsaw, costing the Gunners just under £2m at the time.

A centreback who can also play as a defensive midfielder, Bielik has played in all four of the u23s Premier League 2 games, their three UEFA Youth League matches and got three minutes for the senior side in the EFL Cup game against Nottingham Forest.

“The plan with him is to continue his development,” Wenger said after the game against Ludogorets.

“He works with us a lot, with the first team.

“He has developed very well and for me he has all the attributes to be a great player.

“Now, he is not ready experience wise to play in our team, so hopefully I will consider the situation at the end of December to see if he can go out somewhere or whether we’ll keep him here until the end of the season.”

When Bielik was signed, he arrived at the club as a midfielder but the youth team decided he would be better employed as a centre back and it is in that position that he has been impressing with his imposing performances.

A loan would not only allow him to up his level of competition but would also give us all a chance to watch him a lot more.
