Arsene Wenger has delivered the news that every Gooner has been waiting to hear: Hector Bellerin will be offered a contract extension with Arsenal.

Speaking ahead of our Swansea City clash, the boss touched upon the speculation that the rightback could be leaving. Recently, the 21-year-old has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Manchester City, with some even claiming that he was pushing for a move himself.

However, this can all be put to bed as Wenger claims Bellerin’s future is with Arsenal.

It’s fantastic news and although many of us always suspected the youngster would stay put, as the speculation rattled on I, for one, didn’t feel quite as certain.

Although it’s not certain that the Spaniard will accept the contract extension, I doubt Wenger would make it this public if he wasn’t sure.

Fortunately, it looks as if Bellerin, whose current contract runs out in 2019, is set to stay in north London for many years to come.
