Laurent Koscielny came under all sorts of scrutiny for a hand ball which wasn’t really a hand ball during Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Burnley and now it’s happened again.

As we explained following the unnecessary drama, a hand ball is only an offence if it’s intended and Kos clearly didn’t mean it against Burnley. But what about for France?

The centreback went to ground, controlling the ball with his legs and the ball happened to roll into his hands during France’s 1-0 win against the Netherlands. It wasn’t deliberate and, as you can see from the video below, he wasn’t controlling the ball with his hands.

That didn’t stop the Netherlands from dancing around with their arms in the air, however.

Of course, it wasn’t given.

Case closed.
