Udinese’s Panagiotis Armenakas has told Mondoprimavera.com that he is dreaming of Arsenal and the Premier League in the future.

Just 18, Armenakas has made five appearances for Udinese’s u19s in Primavera B, scoring four goals at a rate of one every 73 minutes, bringing him to the attention of scouts around the continent.

The former Watford u18 player, who joined the Hornets when he was 12, moved to Italy in August 2014 and is currently under contract until 2018.

In his recent interview, the Australian said, “I received other offers from English clubs, but I decided to join Udinese because I felt it was the right place to improve my game and take it to another level.

“Honestly I don’t think pressure is a big issue: I am ambitious and my goal is to become one of the most talented players of the world. I know it will take time, but I want to improve my game in order to be ready for the next level, which hopefully will be playing with Udinese’s first team in the Italian Serie A.

“I still dream to play in the Premier League too: Arsenal is my favourite team, and I hope to play for the Gunners one day”.

He’s young, relatively unknown and an attacking midfielder/winger.  Should Arsene Wenger remain at the club for the next few seasons, you wouldn’t rule out him moving for a player who was recently named as one of the top 50 talents born in 1998 by the Guardian. He certainly ticks a lot of Arsene’s boxes.

We’ve already been linked with him, with reports in September coming from Italy that Arsenal were eyeing him up.

Udinese are said to feel quite confident about being able to keep hold of their ‘wonderkid’ however we all know that situations change quickly and a decent offer from Arsenal to the Italians, and the player, could diminish any confidence they currently have.
