David Seaman believes Arsenal should go all out in order to keep Arsene Wenger at the club.

The boss’ contract runs out at the end of this season and although there were recent reports heavily linking him with the newly vacated England job, it appears as if that’s going to be given to caretaker manager, Gareth Southgate.

This has left everyone wondering: will Wenger stay at Arsenal or will he go?

The chances are, at some point, we may offer him a year extension. However, I’m feeling decidedly less certain about this than I used to.

Seaman wants Wenger to stay at the club.

“I hope he stays, they should go all out to keep him,” the former goalkeeper said.

“[Getting a new manager] doesn’t work out straight away every time. Manchester United have struggled a little bit since Sir Alex left. They have changed managers again and have a great one now.

“But Arsenal have a great manager already.”

It’s fantastic to see Seaman talking so highly of his former boss. He obviously still has an immense amount of respect for the Frenchman. Comments like these sort of make up for some of the negative ones.

Will Arsenal offer Wenger a new deal?

At the moment, I hope so. But things could change dramatically between now and the end of the season.
