Saint-Etienne are reportedly keen on taking Yaya Sanogo as soon as January.

According to the shortest piece in history by Calciomercato, the Ligue 1 team could be willing to take the striker on loan.

The 23-year-old is yet to make a single appearance for Arsenal so far this season and hasn’t really been spoken about since he was linked with a loan move to Leeds at the end of August, which we apparently blocked. Before this, however, Arsene Wenger claimed he was injured.

Lord knows where he’s got to now.

The Frenchman, who we got on a free transfer from Auxerre in 2013, has had loan spells at Crystal Palace, Ajax and Charlton Athletic. None of which have gone particularly well. He did score three goals (a hattrick v Reading) in eight appearance for Charlton but his time there soon took a nose-dive when he began to not even make the squad.

Are we loaning him out or selling him? I doubt we’ll keep him around, especially if he does keep getting injured. It’s a shame, as he had a couple of decent pre-seasons with us but these things happen.
