Just one day after reports emerged that Arsenal were in hot pursuit of former target M’Baye Niang, the forward appears to be – sort of – flirting with PSG.

The AC Milan forward, who is reportedly worth €35m despite only being 21, has scored three and assisted the same amount so far this season for the Serie A club. He claims that he has already turned down a move, which Fotbolltransfers claims was Leicester City, and he wants to stay put for now. However, he remains open to a move in the future.

“I have already turned down big bid and, in addition, I would say no today,” he said to La Repubblica.

“PSG in the future? One day, why not?”

To be fair, this is a standard footballing answer. Of course he has to say he’s happy where he is, they’re paying his wages, but he also doesn’t want to rule out a move to a bigger club one day. I get it.

It’s still unclear whether Arsenal are even genuinely interested in him although apparently we, as well as Everton, approached him before he went to Milan. Therefore, it stands to reason that we could return for him. Saying that, as we’ve already stated, it’s unlikely that we’d pay €35m for a 21-year-old.
