In what was a weird evening, Arsenal were outpassed by Ludogorets and Mesut Ozil saw his passing stats drop, but he still left with the match ball after grabbing a hattrick and his first assist of the season.

With a pass completion rate at an unheard of 73.6% for Mesut Ozil (lower than Theo’s 77.3 and the Ox at 87.8) it was an uncharacteristically sloppy evening from our German genius, but how can you have any complaints at all when he delivers three goals, one assist and two key passes?

Ozil’s average in the Champions League this season is 81.9 (brought down by this game) and 88.1 in the Premier League.

Here are his stats in graphic form as well as his goals because you know you can’t watch them enough:

Mesut Ozil couldn’t resist

And then another

And his hattrick

It was his first ever professional hattrick.

Amazing.
