Robert Pires claims that Arsenal and Thierry Henry still have a good relationship and that the former Invincible could one day become manager.

Earlier in the year, it was reported that Arsenal had given Henry an ‘ultimatum’. Essentially, stop being a pundit (and bad-mouthing the team at the weekends) and continue coaching at London Colney or leave.

Henry promptly made a dash for the exit, clutching his Sky Sports entrance pass tightly to his chest.

After this, I could see on Twitter that things were a little frosty between Gooners and Henry. Although there were a few that seemed perplexed that we would allow him to leave, most completely sided with the club, fully understanding why they’d done what they’d done.

It did leave me wondering, however, what Henry’s relationship was like with the club and Arsene Wenger but it appears we’re fine. ‘King’ Henry conducted an enjoyable interview with the boss on his 20th anniversary in charge and now Robert Pires claims he could even be manager one day.

“Of course [he could be manager], why not? Thierry Henry and Arsenal have a good relationship,” Le Bob said.

We’ll see.

I’m not convinced everything’s as rosy as we’re being led to believe but at least there’s no animosity there.
