Adama Traore broke the Premier League speed record on Saturday when he faced up to Arsenal at the Emirates.

The wideman, who tortured Nacho Monreal all afternoon, clocked a top speed of 37kmph (23mph).

The previous holder had been Tottenham’s Mousa Sissoko when he was with Newcastle.

Hector Bellerin, a man many would point to as one of the fastest in the division, manages a speed of around 4.41 seconds for 40 metres, which works out at 32.7kmph, but this was in training and not in a game – and he still doesn’t beat the Boro player’s speed.

Walcott is slightly slower than Bellerin, with the Spaniard beating Theo’s Arsenal record by one hundredth of a second.
