Lucas Perez will reportedly be back in action for Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Swansea on the 15th October.

In typical Arsenal fashion, the former Deportivo striker was ruled out of our match against Burnley on Sunday due to a ‘slight’ knee problem just weeks after he moved to north London. When it comes to injuries and our club, it’s rarely simple so naturally Gooners were a little wary of the news.

However, according to the IBTimes, who claim to have spoken to a source close to the player, Lucas should be back in action for the Swansea game after the international break. The ‘slight’ knee problem was apparently just some swelling, which is clearing up.

Considering Olivier Giroud (toe) and now Chuba Akpom (back) are also sidelined, having Lucas out as well would probably be a massive blow… not that the Spaniard has really been given much of a chance yet, having made just one start in the EFL Cup so far since joining.

It’s good to see he’s reportedly recovering well and should be ready to play if we need him against Swansea.
