Lucas Perez has told a radio station in Spain that he does not believe that Mesut Ozil wants a return to Spain amid reports that Real Madrid are interested in bringing him back to the club.

“I do not think Ozil wants to return to Spain,” he told Onda Cero.

“Real Madrid is a great team, but so is Arsenal.”

Arsene Wenger admitted that talks have begun with Mesut (and Alexis) over renewing their current deals which expire in 2018 with popular media opinion being that the German will renew a lot easier than the Chilean.

They seem to have no evidence to suggest that Alexis will be difficult with his negotiations, but there are, no doubt, some questions from both their camps regarding the future of Arsene Wenger whose own contract expires in the summer.

It is believed that he has been offered a new deal with the club but he is yet to sign it and if his last contract renewal is anything to go by, he probably won’t until we are into 2017.
