The Star Sport has put together a list of 20 Premier League goalkeepers who they think are the best ever and three Arsenal shot-stoppers have made the top five.

In fifth place, the Star Sport has named Jens Lehmann. The German was known for his… unique… approach to football as well as being a brilliant goalkeeper.

He played for Arsenal for five years, featuring in 200 games.

Lehmann kept 79 clean sheets, which is oddly only nine more than Manuel Almunia with more games. However, his leadership and character on the pitch made him a huge part of Arsenal.

In third place, the Star Sport have named none other than David Seaman. The former England international kept a whopping 237 clean sheets for Arsenal during his 564 appearances. He was at the club 13 years.

Second only to Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel, is our newest goalkeeper, Petr Cech. Although he spent the majority of his career with our rivals, he’s with us now and has so far been a huge addition to the first team.

So far the former Czech international has kept 23 clean sheets in 49 appearances for Arsenal. Hopefully, there will be many, many more.

We approve of your choices, Star Sport.
