Joachim Low has revealed that he plans to watch a few Arsenal matches in England this season since two of his German players reside there.

Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi have become huge names for their national team and the coach vows to keep an eye on them while they’re playing for Arsenal.

“I’d like to see some games abroad in the next weeks,” Low said.

“I’ll go to England and watch Arsenal, where two of our players are playing now.

“I’ll just have a look at what’s going on abroad and keep an eye on the Bundesliga.”

It’s not unusual for national team managers to travel in order to assess their players so they can pick the best squad for their upcoming fixtures. Of course, they could just watch our matches on TV but where’s the fun in that? If I was given free football tickets and expenses to travel the world, I’d be out the door before anyone was any the wiser.

Low obviously also said that he’d be keeping an eye on the Bundesliga, which makes sense considering a large portion of the German squad play in it.

Saying this, it’d be great to see Low at the Emirates… as long as he washes his hands first…
