Alex Iwobi appears to have finally settled on a number with Nigeria after already switching twice.

Unable to take the 17 he wears with Arsenal because that belongs to Eddy Onazi, Iwobi has worn 18, 19, and 20.

It was the 19 that adorned his back for his first two games for Nigeria – against Congo DR and Cameroon in friendlies. However, for his competitive debut against Egypt he wore number 18 for both legs of the AFCON 2017 qualifier.

He then appeared in the number 20 shirt when the Super Eagles faced Mali and Luxembourg in further friendlies.

Now, it appears that he’s gone back to 18 after Owngoalnigeria.com checked in on him during training.

Nigeria’s next game is away to Zambia in World Cup qualifying so we should get further confirmation during that game which takes place on 9 October.
