According to Italian journalist, Enzo Bucchioni, Santi Cazorla will not renew his Arsenal contract.

In his editorial for Tuttomercatoweb, the journo claims that the Spaniard will not be renewing his Arsenal contract and that Juve remain in poll position to sign him for free in the summer.

“Marotta sta lavorando anche su Santi Cazorla, 32 anni, che non rinnoverà con l’Arsenal. La Juve è in pole, dall’Inghilterra arrivano conferme,” he says [via Tuttojuve].

This translate as:

“[Giuseppe] Marotta is also working on Santi Cazorla, 32, who will not renew with Arsenal. Juventus are in pole, confirmations arrive from England.”

Well, firstly, Santi is 31, not 32. He turns 32 in December.

Secondly, no other outlet is reporting that he won’t renew, simply that he hasn’t been offered a new contract yet by Arsenal, which is something that he’s confirmed personally.

Juventus’ interest has been widely reported and according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Serie A giants are continuing to monitor the situation in hope of bringing him to Italy for free in the summer.

It’s important to remember that throughout this, Santi has always said he’s happy in north London and would sign a contract extension if we offer it. This implies that the ball is in our court and I’d be surprised if he didn’t stay.
