Alex Hleb has taken a break from… doing whatever the hell he does now… to comment on Arsenal’s form so far this season.

The former Gunner currently plays for his BATE Borisov, the club he was with when he was 17. That’s what he does now, in case you were wondering.

However, he loves to talk about Arsenal, Arsene Wenger and his regret over screwing us over leaving for Barcelona in 2008.

His latest praise is that we’re tearing everyone apart and that we could win the treble.

Alright, Alex. Even Arsenal fans don’t believe that.

“Wenger always sets the highest goals,” he said.

“He has managed to keep his key players and they are playing great football. They are tearing everyone apart.

“I hope the team will win three trophies this season – the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League. This Arsenal side certainly has the ability and I will really be supporting them.”

The 35-year-old loves chatting about Arsenal and going on about how leaving was a mistake blah blah blah. I’m not sure what he thinks he’ll achieve by this considering it’s not as if Wenger’s going to suddenly see his comments in the press and think, “aww, bless him” and give him a call.

I could just be cynical and he could actually be in genuine, innocent awe of his former club. But I doubt it.
