Panic struck the internet this week as it was reported that Hector Bellerin had picked up an ankle injury that needed a scan to determine what sort of damage the fullback was facing.

We decided to hold back on reporting the injury to see how things developed and it looks as if that could have been a good call as Bellerin has returned to training with the Spanish u21 side having been given the all clear to get back to business.

Bellerin picked up the reported injury during their game against San Marino.

Despite the initial reports that it could be a serious problem, Hector’s Facebook post after the game led us to believe that there probably wasn’t much to be worried about.

Hardly the words of a man who had more important things, like an ankle problem, on his mind.

Anyway, Spain u21s play Estonia on Monday at 5.45pm and Hector is expected to be in his usual starting spot.
