New boy, Granit Xhaka, has been speaking to Sky Sports about his time at Arsenal so far.

The midfielder has put in some brilliant performances for Arsenal already and, despite only being in London a couple of months, he’s cemented himself pretty firmly into the cold, stony hearts of Gooners.

He’s become known for his no-nonsense style of play, long balls and thumping goals from range. However, speaking to Sky Sports, he admitted that he probably won’t be able to score those every single game.

Sad face.

Xhaka went on to praise the ‘amazing’ Arsenal fans who have given him nothing but encouragement since he joined.

“I’m very pleased with the fans’ support,” he said.

“It’s been amazing the way they’ve supported the whole team and me.

“The fans are amazing, I’m really happy here at Arsenal and I’m going to do my best for this club.

“London is really nice and I’m really happy here but, of course, I’ve moved here to play football and not just to be in the city.

“I’m happy with how it’s gone so far and I’m really satisfied with my first couple of months here and I’m enjoying being at Arsenal.”

It’s good to see him positive and enjoying himself at the club. When players are happy, you’d think it bodes well for their displays on the pitch.

Xhaka’s been finding it hard to get a Premier League start this season but his performance against his former club Basel during the Champions League in midweek may earn him one against Burnley. We’ll have to see.
