Arsenal’s 25-year-old midfielder/forward, Danielle van de Donk, has signed a new contract just 11 months after signing with the club from Göteborg FC.

The Dutch player has started 17 games and came on twice as a substitute in her first season and has also scored six goals.

She has been one of the few regulars under Pedro Losa who have not been part of the squad rotation.

It clearly shows that the manager trusts her and therefore rewarded her with an improved contract.

Danielle is very versatile and has been used this season in the number 10 position, not as often as she should have been in my opinion, but mainly as a winger either on the right or left and also as the lone forward, where she can get behind the defence with her pace.

There is no doubt that she can carry on improving over the next few next seasons and lead the club to titles alongside players like Jordan Nobbs and Leah Williamson who will be trusted with leadership positions at the club in the near future.
