According to the Evening Standard, Santi Cazorla missed training ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League trip to Ludogorets.

The midfielder has been out for a couple of weeks after picking up a knock to his Achilles and although we’re all hoping it’s not too serious considering his importance to the team, Arsene Wenger hasn’t been too forthcoming with new information.

What is concerning is that he’s still not in training. Hopefully, this is just to save him for our clash against Spurs next Sunday.

Nacho Monreal (thigh) was also out while Theo Walcott (hamstring) missed out on Arsenal’s 4-1 win at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. He did train though so I imagine the boss will rest him against Ludogorets.

We need the strongest squad possible available for the North London Derby on Sunday and considering we beat the Bulgarian side 6-0 at the Emirates, I’d say we could most definitely get away with fielding a slightly weakened side.
