Arsenal Ladies were playing a postponed game from the first half of the season at bottom of the table Doncaster Belles and came home with a 5-0 win.

As usual Pedro Losa made many changes with Rose, Stoney and Taylor injured, while there was a first ever league start for Kelly and a welcomed return for Williamson.

Danielle Carter opened the scoring early in the first half in the 12th minute.

Natalia Pablos Sanchon added a second goal, three minutes after coming as a substitute in the 67th minute. Natalia doubled her tally on the 85th minute before Danielle Carter also got her second in the 87th minute. Kelly Smith added a fifth in the 90th minute.

Chelsea Ladies have 31 points a goal difference of +22 with two games to be played.

Arsenal Ladies have 26 points a goal difference of +15 and also two games to play.

Due to the poor goal difference, Arsenal probably need to get six points from the final two games while hoping that Chelsea lose their last two games. Although Chelsea’s recent defeats to City and Wolfsburg show a negative trend, Arsenal can only pray for a miracle.

Should Chelsea get one point from those two upcoming games, Arsenal need to score as many as possible in the next game like they did against the Belles.

On 30th October, Arsenal will be at home to Doncaster and should pick up the three points, while Chelsea will be at home to relegation contenders Reading.

Then, the final game on 6th November, Arsenal will be away to Liverpool while Chelsea will be away to Notts County.
