Arsenal are said to be ready to double Alex Iwobi’s wages despite already giving him a payrise earlier in the year.

Under contract until 2020, the Sunday press were full of reports that Arsenal will hike his wages up from £25k to £50k as he continues to impress with the first team.

It’s hard to argue that he doesn’t deserve it.

He’s established himself as a first-choice in a squad that contains many more experienced professionals whom he is keeping out of the starting lineup.

With two assists in his five Premier League games, along with another in his two Champions League appearances, Iwobi is certainly repaying Arsene Wenger’s faith in him.

Iwobi has already been at the club for 12 years and was just five months old when Arsene Wenger took charge of the club.

Recently, we spoke to Ray Parlour who was gushing about Alex Iwobi. Read that exclusive interview here.
