Arsenal are set to scout Juventus’s Moise Kean when the Italians face Sampdoria and Napoli having already watched him play for the Old Lady against AC Milan at the weekend.

Represented by the same man who got Manchester United to cough up the guts of £100m for Paul Pogba, the 16-year-old is being hailed as ‘the name to watch’ in 2017 as Mino Raiola starts up the hype machine for his Moise Kean cash-cow.

Although Raiola says that the player can become a ‘big star’ at Juventus, there’s no denying that he’s stoking the fires for a future transfer. Manchester City have already been linked with the player and Arsenal, as mentioned, will have scouts watching him closely.

“Kean is the name to watch in 2017,” the Italian insisted, “and I’m not just saying that because I’m his agent.”

“He is only 16 years old, but his determination is just scary. He can become a big star at Juventus.

“Juve have done so much and are light years ahead of the rest. They are a unique phenomenon in Italy – it’s a nation of naysayers.

“This is the best-organised club and it’s no coincidence that for five years they’ve dominated Serie A.

“At Juve they all know what they have to do and they do it well.”

As I’ve mentioned before, I tend to save any excitement I might feel bubbling when I see us linked with a player in Italy. We rarely sign players from Serie A and Juventus, who perhaps have never forgiven us for buying Thierry Henry from them and making him in to a superstar, come across as reluctant to do business with us.

Moise Kean contract

With Raiola involved, expect Kean, when he eventually moves in a few seasons, to end up in Manchester or Paris. Or at whichever club can afford to pay his ridiculously inflated transfer fee and wages.

In the meantime, Juve are reportedly getting ready to offer the player a spanking new bumper contract to make him a professional. He turns 17 in February.
