Arsenal, as well as about 106 other teams, are apparently keeping an eye on a 17-year-old the Sun is hailing as an “Argentinian whizkid”: Naza Bazan Vera.

The Velez Sarsfield attacker is reportedly being watched by Arsenal, West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Villarreal, and should be getting his first cap for the Argentina u20s ahead of schedule.

According to the Sun, Villarreal are especially keen as they’ve found out Bazan Vera holds a European passport and therefore doesn’t have to get a work permit to move.

Naza is nephew of Daniel Bazan Vera, who has scored more than 300 goals for the same club.

Are Arsenal interested?

It’s entirely possible.

However, it seems just about everyone is at the moment and although the youngster wouldn’t cost us a huge amount of money, it appears as if the choice will be left down to him.

He’s highly rated, which is exciting if we are scouting him, but I wouldn’t get ahead of ourselves just yet.
