Yaya Toure’s contract with Manchester City runs out in 2017 and of course various teams, including Arsenal, are being linked with a move for the midfielder in January.

Toure and his agent have made their feelings on Pep Guardiola’s City very clear and with the 33-year-old, who was once a key man for the Sky Blues, yet to make an appearance in anything other than Champions League Qualification so far this season, it’s highly unlikely that he will be staying past January.

Who’s interested?

Just about everyone, if Calciomercato is to be believed. According to their short report, Arsenal, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Juventus and clubs from China all want him.

Do Arsenal want him?

I find this highly unlikely. As great as having experienced players in a squad is, I’d say we’ve already got a decent balance.

Plus, Toure’s wage demands. He earns a reported £220,000 a week at City and let’s not beat about the bush here: Arsenal will not pay that.

I don’t imagine he’ll stay in the Premier League. My best guess is China.
