Arsenal, Southampton and Liverpool are apparently all interested in Rennes winger, Paul-Georges Ntep.

According to Tribal Football, the 24-year-old has been one of Ligue 1’s stand-out players over the player few seasons and therefore the fact that he’s attracting attention from Premier League clubs is understandable. What’s more is that it’s reportedly ‘widely expected’ that he’ll leave Rennes at the end of the season.

Admittedly, I’m not that familiar with the French League. However, Ntep has only managed one assist in six appearances so far this season and three (two goals) in 14 last term. These certainly don’t sound like ‘stand-out’ stats and although I know stats don’t paint the whole picture, they at least sketch the outline.

His contract runs out at the end of this season and if it’s common knowledge that Ntep is leaving Rennes on a free, of course I wouldn’t say no to snapping him up. However, I’m not sure how serious our interest is at this point.
