Galatasaray’s winger, Bruma, has admitted that he is only thinking about his current club amid rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham, but also added that something could happen in the future.

Just 21, Bruma is a left winger who has three goals and three assists in seven Super Lig games this season and his status as one of the hottest young properties on the planet has seen him, inevitably, linked with number of Premier League clubs.

Speaking to the press in Turkey, Bruma said, “I am only focused on Galatasaray. I do not deal with rumours.

“In the future, you will see what happens.”

Initially that seemed to me that he was asserting that we would see that he was serious about Gala by staying at Gala but the Turkish report believes this is him very clearly leaving the door open for a move in the future which, given his young age, is no surprise in the slightest.

Bruma moved to Turkey from Sporting CP in 2013 after a ‘lengthy and sour contract dispute’ and was then loaned to Gaziantepspor and Real Sociedad. He cost €10m and signed a five-year deal, of which there are two left.

A right-footed winger who prefers to play on the left, Gala will no doubt be looking to get the player to sign a new deal but it remains to be seen if they will be successful or if the mention of clubs in the Premier League will turn his head and trigger another contract dispute.

If he needs an idea of what life is like in London, he can ask his brother, Mesca, who enjoyed short spells with both Chelsea (one year) and Fulham (four years).
