Aaron Ramsey could well return to the Arsenal side this weekend for the first time since the opening day, and he’ll be doing it in brand new football boots.

The Welsh midfielder, who signed a deal with New Balance, was showing off his football boots on Instagram, speaking of his excitement about ‘getting them on’.

What he’s probably more excited about is getting on the football pitch, a place he’s not visited as much as he should over the past three years as he struggled with a range of muscle injuries affecting his hamstrings and calves.

Here's my new colour #Visaro. Looking forward to getting them on. It's Game On. @nbfootball

Should Ramsey return at the weekend to face Sunderland, it’s highly unlikely that we will see him from the start.

With no word on Santi Cazorla’s Achilles problem or how long that is likely to keep him out for, and Granit Xhaka serving the final match of his suspension, we are likely to see Francis Coquelin and Granit Xhaka paired up again unless Arsene Wenger decides to give the Ox a run in the centre.

I doubt it.
