According to Yaya Toure’s agent, the Manchester City star is set to wave goodbye to the team he’s played for since 2010.

The ‘news’ comes from Sky Sports, who say that Toure’s agent has confirmed that the midfielder will be signing a pre-contractual agreement in January ahead of leaving at the end of the season. Dimitri Seluk has been very vocal about his client being unhappy for a while.

According to Seluk, Toure isn’t being shown enough respect by new coach, Pep Guardiola, and there are a host of different teams interested in signing him.

“It is the decision of Pep and must be respected,” Seluk said.

“If Manchester City win the Champions League then I will travel to London and say before the television cameras that Pep Guardiola is the best coach in the world.

“But if City don’t win it, then I hope that Pep has the balls to say he was wrong to humiliate a great player like Yaya Toure.”

My goodness…

Among the teams apparently interested just so happen to be Arsenal and Manchester United – two of City’s biggest rivals. What a coincidence. Don’t worry though, City fans, Seluk does confirmed that Toure won’t be coming to either club. Strange.

Not that I’m suspicious or anything.

Toure is 33 now so moving somewhere like the MLS might be a good move for him. He’s only made one appearance in the Champions League qualifiers so far this season and has been out of the squad entirely for the Premier League matches. Signing elsewhere might guarantee him regular football but I highly, highly doubt United and Arsenal are interested.
