Jack Wilshere made his debut for Bournemouth on Saturday when he played the first half against AC Milan.

His performance was largely viewed as positive and has been hailed in all quarters as he goes about making himself a fan favourite with the Cherries just like he is at Arsenal.

Taking to Twitter, the midfielder thanked the Bournemouth fans for their support

Speaking about Jack’s performance, manager Eddie Howe said, “Jack Wilshere also came in and did very well. I thought he showed his technical quality in and around the box. He worked really hard for the team which is of course important.

“We’re looking forward to working with Jack further and integrating him into our team.”

But it was his interview in the Mirror which was much more revealing about the impact that Jack is having on the rest of his new teammates.

“I hoped the signing and the high profile nature of the signing will give the lads that confidence that having a player like Jack Wilshere in your squad can give.

“I have seen a difference in our players and certainly standing next to them in the tunnel with the team can only inspire belief and confidence in the group.

“Hopefully it will inspire us to be better coaches to our players and it will inspire the players onto another level.”

Long may it continue.
