Jack Wilshere has confirmed that he’ll be playing an actual game of football – he’ll be featuring in Warren Cummings’ testimonial v AC Milan on Saturday.

The midfielder, who joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan on the final day of the transfer window, has only played twice for Arsenal this season so is a little rusty but it looks as if he’ll get a run out for the Cherries’ legend’s testimonial at the weekend.

The 24-year-old tweeted that he was excited to finally get some minutes under his belt following a bit of a dry spell.

It’ll be great to see him get some game time for his loan club.

Cummings played for Bournemouth from 2003-2012 and has admitted that Wilshere’s arrival is perfect timing.

“Jack’s arrival on loan from Arsenal couldn’t have been timed better,” he said.

“I’ve been promised I will get on for the last few minutes. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Jack’s loan move was a huge call from both him and the club but proof that Arsene Wenger trusts his judgement. I get the feeling that this is only the beginning for the midfielder and I hope I’m right.

We wish him all the luck against AC Milan at the testimonial on Saturday – we’ll be watching!
