West Brom academy coach, Mark Harrison, has confirmed that the Baggies won’t be offering Arsenal trialist, Tyrell Robinson, a contract.

The 18-year-old has been reportedly frustrated with his lack of playing time in his natural position on the wing at Arsenal. Instead, he’s been played as a full-back, something he doesn’t enjoy. With that in mind, he appears to have been looking for a new club, going out on trial with the Baggies’ u23s.

He didn’t do too badly and even scored in their 2-1 win over Fulham back in August but the coach, Harrison, said he just wasn’t any better than who they’ve already got.

“He trained well and acquitted himself well in the games,” Harrison said.

“He worked really hard and showed a good attitude.

“But sometimes you need to look at your own players and who is ahead of them in the system.”

It’s unlucky for Robinson who seems to just want a move away from Arsenal. His next move remains to be seen but he’s young enough that he can start anew somewhere else. If he’s not happy with the Gunners, it’s not up to the club to convince him to stay at this stage.

Good luck to the lad.
