Mesut Ozil basically scored for Germany in their international friendly v Finland on Wednesday night.
The playmaker received the ball out wide from Mario Gotze before slotting it into the goal. Okay, it MAY have taken a deflection off of Finland’s Paulus Arajuuri and therefore goes down as an own goal but it was heading in the right direction.
The 77th-minute goal was Germany’s second of the evening in a game that finished 2-0. The first was scored by Maximilian Meyer 10 minutes after half-time.
Our new boy, Shkodran Mustafi, also got 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet. At one point he did appear to go down injured but he got back up again. Phew.

The game marks Manchester United’s 32-year-old Bastian Schweinsteiger’s final clash for his country.
