Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey are set to miss out on the EFL Cup match against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

Giroud missed out on Arsenal’s recent 4-1 win over Hull City at the weekend due to picking up a knock to his toe (I know…) against PSG in the Champions League. Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he’ll still be out for our midweek clash.

Ramsey, who injured his hamstring in the opening match of the campaign, which we lost 4-3 to Liverpool, is said to still be out despite the midfielder originally predicted to return after the last international break. Wenger said that he doesn’t think he’ll be ready for the weekend fixture against Chelsea, either.

As the boss previously said, however, this is probably more down to Arsenal being cautious because of Rambo’s injury record. He’s back in training and apparently there have been no set-backs so nothing to panic over just yet.

Gabriel, meanwhile, is close to a return and could feature against Nottingham Forest.

Carl Jenkinson is improving but still isn’t quite ready.
