Get the party hats ready people because Carl Jenkinson has apparently returned to full training!

The rightback, who returned to Arsenal early from his second loan spell at West Ham after injuring his knee badly against Manchester City, has been steadily stepping up his training recently and now, according to the reliable Ben Dinnery, he’s back with the rest of the squad.

Although we’ve muddled on without Jenko while he’s been away on loan with the Hammers and then injured, he’s a fan favourite, a lifelong Arsenal fan and, from what I’ve seen/heard, a genuinely nice bloke. It’ll be good to at least have him back in the squad and available for cup games.

Having someone like him to lift the team up, even if they don’t think they need it, can be a positive influence. Plus, having someone that genuinely loves the club in the dressing room (apart from the boss) will show the newer players what it’s all about.

You never know, he might develop into competition for Hector Bellerin…
