According to Jeremy Wilson, Aaron Ramsey’s return to fitness won’t be against Southampton at the weekend.

The midfielder, along with Alex Iwobi, was supposed to make his return after the international break but while the forward appears to be on schedule, Rambo will apparently miss out for a little while longer, according to Telegraph.

To be fair, if true, there’s no reason to panic. It’s very rare that any of our players ever make it back by the date we predicted and with Ramsey’s injury-stricken past, it’s likely that we’re being slightly more careful with him, even if he is fully fit.

If Iwobi does return on Saturday then he’s an anomaly and should be studied!

How much longer is Rambo out for? Well, the report doesn’t say. Although the word ‘delayed’ doesn’t imply a set-back (we known how much the tabloids love to throw ‘set-back’ in their headline so if there was one, they would say so), I’d say it implies caution.

I’m sure everything’s fine.
