Marouane Chamakh is currently on trial at West Brom who apparently want to sign him but now Palermo have reportedly entered the mix.

The striker was released by Crystal Palace last season and has been having a cheeky trial with the Baggies who, you’d presume, are trying to work out whether they want to sign him or not. Although he’s a free agent, he still has wages to pay and at the age of 32, you would imagine that he won’t exactly work for peanuts. That’s just speculation on my part, though. For all I know, he could be willing to play for free, although somehow I doubt it.

Anyway, according to Corriere dello Sport, Serie A club, Palermo, have caught wind that Chamakh is available and are interested.

If true, I imagine it’ll be down to the Moroccan to decide where he signs based on wages and location. He might want to stay in England, he might fancy a change. Who knows? Good luck to him.
