Basel travel to north London in hope of slaying another English team in the Champions League, while Arsenal will be hoping to build upon their emphatic win over Chelsea at the weekend.

Arsenal’s last game was a 3-0 win over Chelsea at the Emirates. Therefore, morale should be high and confidence should be through the rough. Saying this, the Gunners have to be careful not to allow this to get to their heads. They should be well aware of Basel’s form, both in their own League (nine wins in nine games) and against English teams in Europe.

Arsenal are without Olivier Giroud (toe + suspension), Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Francis Coquelin (knee), while the visitors are missing defender Manuel Akanji and midfielder Kevin Bua.

Here are how both teams line up:

Arsenal: Ospina, Bellerin, Mustafi, Kos, Monreal, Xhaka, Cazorla, Ozil, Iwobi, Theo, Alexis.

Subs: Cech, Gibbs, Gabriel, Elneny, Jeff, Ox, Lucas.

Basel: Vaclik, Lang, Suchy, Xhaka, Balanta, Traore, Bjarnason, Zuffi, Fransson, Doumbia, Steffen.

Subs: Calla, Delgado, Elyounoussi, Gaber, Hoegh, Sporar, Vailati.
