After their unbeaten start to the campaign was ended by Chelsea last weekend, Arsenal’s u18 side returned to winning ways in emphatic style with a fantastic 5-0 thrashing over Leicester City on Saturday.

Prolific forward Edward Nketiah scored a hat-trick, making it seven goals in five games just a day after he was amongst the substitutes for the u23’s 2-1 away win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Versatile midfielder Marcus McGuane also notched a goal for himself, albeit with a slice of fortune after Leicester’s goalkeeper attempted a clearance which bounced off his back into the goal.

Vlad Dragomir, who made a second-half appearance for the u23’s on Friday, also got himself on the scoresheet with a goal after 86 minutes to add gloss to an excellent performance from Kwame Ampadu’s side.

A number of those involved on Saturday will be hoping they can feature against Basel with the u19’s UEFA Youth League group stage fixture set to take place next week Wednesday, whilst a trip to north London rivals Tottenham is on the horizon next weekend.
