Now that the transfer window is shut and it’s the interlul, it’s all pretty quiet.

Olivier Giroud scored during France’s 3-1 win against Italy on Thursday night; he’s now scored 21 goals for his country – more than Manchester United legend, Eric Cantona who scored 20.

There was more Jack Wilshere news following his loan move to Bournemouth. He’s been given the no.32 shirt and he’s due to make an appearance in Warren Cummings’ testimonial on Saturday.

Germany manager, Joachim Löw, spoke about Serge Gnabry’s move to Werder Bremen. He approves, of course.

In other news, the Arsenal Foundation is set to donate £1m of the proceedings from the Arsenal Legends’ match on Saturday to building new football pitches across the world; new striker Lucas traveled back to Deportivo to say goodbye and said some rather lovely things about Arsenal; Arsene Wenger explained the uncomfortable position Thierry Henry had been in at London Colney while trying to juggle punditry and coaching and the boss, Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho all appeared in Nyon to speak about scrapping extra time.

This wasn’t the only reason they were all there obviously but it’s probably the only time they have all agreed on something.

In injury-related news, Alex Iwobi could be back in time for the Southampton game (we think) and the Saints’ Fraser Forster could also return.

Oh, and now that we’ve signed Shkodran Mustafi, reports say Arsenal reckon that Mesut Ozil will extend his contract with us.
