August ended on a high for Gooners, so let’s hope the mood continues in September as well!

We managed to get our first win in the league, after a loss on the opening day, and a draw against the reigning champions. It was “only” against Watford but team looked good and that’s what we all wanted.

But, even better than that were the two signings we made late in the transfer window.

Arsenal signed two great players in positions we actually needed to fill. I won’t be analysing them, but I am thrilled that they are here and excited to see how they can help our team.

What better way to welcome them than to give them their own wallpaper?

Since I decided to make completely different wallpapers for each set of monthly fixtures, there’s a lot more freedom to how they look. This month it’s dedicated to Mustafi and Lucas, two new stars that will hopefully make our happy during upcoming month(s).

This month we have a big six matches to play, in only 20 days, since there’s an international break at the beginning. Arsenal are playing in three competitions this month – league, league cup and Champions League.

We start with Southampton at home in the league, which won’t be easy (remember last season, ugh!). Only three days after that, the Gunners are travelling to Paris to clash with PSG, our main competitors for 1st spot in the Champions League group. PSG are a strong team, even though they changed their manager and are missing their biggest star Ibrahimović, but surely our boys can handle it.

A slightly easier trip is in line after that, away to Hull in the league. I say easier now, don’t kill me if we lose 1-0 or something like that. In midweek after that we start our EFL League Cup campaign, again away, to Notthingham Forest. It’s expected we’ll play slightly different team than in the league or UCL, but still, a win is a must.

The month ends with two home matches. First we “welcome” Conte’s Chelsea – always an intense match, even though there’s no Jose this time around. This won’t be easy at all. At the end, there’s a UCL match against FC Basel at home. The Swiss team has a good history against English teams, so hope we take them seriously and win this one.

I hope this month is much better than the last one, with at least four wins (I’m so modest). Let’s see how good our signings are but don’t get too angry if they don’t click straight away.

Anyways, download the wallpaper, enjoy the beginning of Autumn and cheer for your club (click on the image and then right-click to save the hi-res versions).
