Unai Emery is ‘convinced’ that his side will respond against Arsenal in Paris when the two sides meet on Tuesday night and that, given the chance, everyone would like to be Arsene Wenger.

PSG have not had the best start to their Ligue 1 campaign with two disappointing results in the build up to this game.

Speaking to the press ahead of the match, the PSG manager, who was at the Emirates on Saturday, said, “I expect a tough match.

“Different than that of Saint-Etienne. This is a different team, other players, a different system of play.

“I expect a great game. I expect a great duel.

“I hope we will play well against a team that should play with its features, a lot of possession.

“Football is difficult. Today, yesterday, tomorrow. Football is beautiful but difficult. I have confidence in the work.

“When you win, the reviews are positive. When you lose, they are more negative. I do my own self-criticism. I learn a lot from that.

“As PSG coach, I assume my responsibilities. I focus on my work, I’m patient.

“[Give me] Time. Trust that I will give the team what is important.

“I am convinced that we will improve. Tomorrow is the first opportunity to do better.

“The most important thing is the team. Being with my players every day. I see well.

“When you lose, you’re hurt. I am confident that the team will react.

“[Arsenal are] a good team. The strongest with us in this group.

“It will be a great tactical game.

“[On Wenger] I came here with the idea to grow. We meetings with coaches at UEFA annually. I admire him. I admire his work, his being there for so long.

“Everyone would like to have the opportunity to be Wenger.“

Ahead of the game Arsenal were boosted with the news that Laurent Koscielny took part in training with the team on Monday and is expected to be passed fit to start the game at the Parc des Princes.
